budapest…

I traveled last weekend to Budapest on a eight hour bus ride, departing from Praha at 6am. When we finally got off the bus it really felt like spring in Hungary. On Friday I visited Szentendre, a small art community about a 25 minute train ride outside of Budapest – sitting by the Danube was probably the best part. Also listened to a lecture from Larry Olomoofe, apart of the European Roma Rights Centre

szentendre, hungary.

Went to two themed pizza places – one called Marxism, which had communist propaganda as decor and creative communist names of pizzas. Pretty humorous. We also went to a pirate-space themed pizza place. Pretty much neon lights made up for the space part and there was pirate scrolls on the ceiling. still fun. many neat places to chat and sip at night…

<<<also went to the Leipzig Phenomenon exhibit at the Mucsarnok/Kunsthalle museum on Heroes Square, which consisted of work from fifteen artist, including photographers Matthias Hoch and Ricarda Roggan.
